From The Modern Gal’s inbox:

Dear Modern Gal:
I need your help with this deep question. With everyone’s best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend on Facebook, when is it NOT creepy/stalkerish to friend someone you’ve been on a few dates with? Are there rules and acceptable timelines depending on how you met and how much booty you’ve gotten?

Dear Dirty Harlot,
The Modern Gal’s reasoning is as follows: College kids these days send friend requests from their Crackberries two seconds after meeting someone (or so she hears). When you adjust for age and inflation for the typical modern gal and guy, it’s definitely acceptable to friend someone you’ve been on a few dates with.

My opinion aside, I’m opening up the comment floor to input about Facebook friending rules and may put it to a poll question in the next week to get a consensus.

P.S. The Modern Gal will entertain most questions presented via e-mail at themoderngal@gmail.com.
