Gasp. A meme. Blast the person who tagged me for this one. Kidding, kidding. Allie at Allie’s Answers put me on the list to do the seven things meme that’s been going around, and I love Allie and this one doesn’t seem too terribly hard to do … or does it. I found I had a hard time thinking of seven things that my Modern Friends might find interesting about me, but here goes.

Seven things about me:
- When I was born, I came out of my mother’s body (she had a C-section) butt first and with my legs tucked behind my ears. Sadly that did not translate into a gymnastics career.
- I really, really, love old movies. A sampling: The Philadelphia Story, Meet Me in St. Louis, Casablanca, Holiday Inn, etc.
- I’ve met and conversed with a number of famous/infamous people, such as John McCain, Michael Vick and Jane Seymour to name a few.
- I’ve competed in two spelling bees in my lifetime and came in second place both times. In that same vein, when the final class ranks came out in high school, I was number 26. The top 25 got to sit at the front of the class at graduation.
- I don’t mention it much here, but I have a very, very close relationship with both of my parents. It pains me to live six hours away from them.
- I appear to have an extra joint in my feet, but I cant roll my tongue like most people can.
- I can talk a mean talk, but when it comes to confronting people about things I am a huge wuss.
I’m not going to tag seven people because most of the people in my blogging circle have already done this meme. I’ll go ahead and at least call on Fishing Around, because I know she has a thing for memes, and Patches and Paws, because I’m not sure she’s been properly introduced to the world of memes. Everyone else, please tag yourselves.
I am a huge old movie fan too. Have you seen Charade? It’s my favorite.

I’m really close to my parents too. I would be so sad if I was that far away. And speaking of, Dad gave me a copy of 1,001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, so I’m catching up on the classics. I just saw “Now Voyager” with Bette Davis, and I highly recommend if you haven’t gotten to it yet.
Cool! The most famous person I’ve met is Dionne Warwick, and it was every bit as non-exciting as you’d think.
