What goes around comes around and goes around again

What goes around comes around and goes around again Posted on April 9, 20109 Comments

I’m sure by now you’ve all heard about the second Sex and the City movie that’s being made. There was even a trailer released a few months ago, but it really didn’t reveal much. I didn’t like the idea of making the first movie, and I especially don’t like the idea of the second one.

Especially after I saw this new trailer. And Aidan.

I’m sure I’ll watch it because I have to know what part of the storylines they’re going to screw with this time, but I already don’t like where it’s going.

  1. I'm so happy to know I'm not the only woman in America who disliked the first movie! I know I'll probably go see (or maybe illegally download, shhh) this one, too– but that trailer does not fill me with hope for the second one. Why do they think that changing the location of much of the action will make the movie more interesting? I had always appreciated how much the tv series was like a love letter to New York City, and don't really feel that way about Mexico or Dubai…

  2. First off, the vacation cheesiness of these movies needs to GO. Keep it in New York — THIS IS THE FOCUS OF THE ENTIRE (former) SHOW. Duh.

Second, Woah. Aiden. I think I LIKE where this is gonna go. You know, so long as Aiden is no longer married. Mr. Big is a dick.

Last, was that a Penelope Cruz cameo? RAWR.

  3. Wow, that has the potential to be spectacularly horrible. Oh, I'll definitely see it, but I'll be prepared to point and laugh if necessary. Seriously, Aiden? I LOVED him on the show, but I don't know if I can get behind Carrie falling for him again.

Just you wait — there will be a third one, and Mikhail Baryshnikov will be in it. I swear.

  4. Don't get me wrong, I love Aiden. But he and Carrie were so very wrong for each other.

  5. See, I LOVED the first movie. LOVED. I thought it ended perfectly. But of course with how much money it made, they couldn't just leave it there. And now? Aiden in the desert? Ugh. I'll see it, too, but only because I can't help myself. I'm still prepared to be angry over it, though.

  6. The production/editing/screenplay of the first one was so poor, I think everyone was let down. Not ashamed to admit I watched it solely for the fashion, and that's why I'll go see the 2nd as well. I know Courtney already commented on this one and she'll hate me for this, but why on earth have they not fixed Cynthia Nixon's teeth. Her character is a wealthy lawyer. I'll argue that the teeth simply arent realistic for the character. I can't handle it. Call me shallow.

    Aiden is hot though.

  7. I was mixed on the first movie, liked but didn't love it, seemed so over the top, and I wasn't totally thrilled with the idea of the second one either. I cannot wait to see Aiden. I LOVED him.
