Designers, you are challenged to a walk off

Designers, you are challenged to a walk off Posted on February 14, 20082 Comments

Dear five PR contestants who competed in the final episode before Fashion Week,

Here’s the thing. You’re ALL going to Fashion Week, so stop acting like you aren’t. Someone has to play the role of decoy. But the thing about being a decoy is YOU’RE STILL SHOWING AT FASHION WEEK. You may not be winning the $100,000 furnished by TRESemmĂ© professional hair care to start your own line or the opportunity to sell your line on Bluefly.com or the 2008 Saturn Astra, but you’re still going to get all the pub you can imagine.

News team, assemble!

Bravo had to work a little harder for the product placement this week, what with all the centuries old subjects and essentially free museum that played a role in the challenge. But did you notice what we’re supposed to buy this week:

Thank God they gave me some direction, or else I wouldn’t have known what to do with this week’s paycheck.

As for Christian. America’s next top designer or America’s Next Top Model? You decide.

This poofy, useless fabric looks so good on ME!

Surprise, surprizzzzzzzzzzzzz

As much as I hate the fact that the judges once again couldn’t make a decision, I supposed it was the right thing to do, making Rami and Chris do a walk off of sorts. I was leaning toward Chris on this one though, because it wasn’t like every. single. one. of his outfits looked the same. Just two of them did. Had his Diva costume had some big poof on the the shoulder, then I would have been suspicious. Rami on the other hand …

As much as I agree that Christian got this challenge and created what appeared to be fashion in my amateur eyes, I still think Jillian shuduve won this one. I kinda felt like hers was a little more modern and yet I totally get where it was coming from.

I guess she wants to be a coat designer?

And Sweet P, oh, Sweet P. C’est la vie. I suppose it was never meant to be. (please someone notice the effort here on rhyme and meter).

I love you Sweet P, but there was no Ricky or Carmen to perform worse than you this time. There is no peacock in this dress. There’s no fashion, either, if you ask me. And this ready-to-wear business? I hate to say it, but you won’t catch me wearing this dress.

  1. I’m sort of glad that when Sweet Pea went she went out with a truly bad piece so I can feel like it was justified. So close SP! I wish they would have just given Rami the X. Another cute dress…zzzz. Jillian has really won me over on these last couple.

  2. SP can still win the fan favorite award, and isn’t that what being on TV is all about?
