I really freakin’ love the songs that GE puts in its ecomagination commercials. I just saw their “Clouds” spot for the first time the other day and fell in love with the cover of “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” originally by CCR. Some googling tells me the cover artist is either JuJu Stulback or Stulbach. I can’t prove that she exists, but here’s the commercial:
And here’s their “Wind Energy” spot with the song “Catch the Wind” by 60s artist Donovan:
My personal favorite was the “Singing in the Rain” spoof, probably because I’m a sucker for musicals and that one in particular.
I love the song by CCR Have you ever seen the rain; makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and hopeful inside. Why does music today not do that? Or was I just born at the wrong point in time?
juju sings in a band called “the Mosquitos”

but you’re right, it’s a great cover.
Thanks, Phistio!
It’s cool that the cover is in 3/4 (waltz) time whereas the original was in 4/4.
It gives it a really novel feel.
Amazing what passes as musical talent these days. Her breathy off key style is more suited to a respirator tent than it is a TV ad.
And yet, you must be interested enough in it anonymous to be googling it.
My mother always said there’s no accounting for taste.
Sometimes a commercial is so bad, it’s music so mediocre, it warrants further research.
Fair enough
Interestingly “anonymous” sounds just like Josey who posted another very similar comment using medical imagery – i.e. something like learning to sing in a TB ward
If this is the same person then s/he has a vendetta agianst the artiste as it is not just a casual post. FWIW everyone else seems to like her breathy style as well as the adverts
