I should be showering and getting ready for the conference I’m supposed to be at in 30 minutes, but I felt the need for blog this morning. After a long day of kinda helpful/kinda boring meetings yesterday (with pretty much no signal on my phone to read blogs/check Twitter) I came back to the hotel to find the ever-so-green and modern Allie had bequeathed me an award! Thanks, Allie!

Of course, the routine is to pass it along, and Allie’s Answers is one of the first blog I’d pass it to. I don’t know how many to pass it too, but Jenn arbitrarily picked four, and I like how that sounds, so why not? Since I like to pass the award to deserving blogs that don’t seem to have already received said award, I’m passing the Blog of Distinction award to the following people and blogs:

  • Crazy Says What, written by Vanessa, who doesn’t have to go out and find the crazy. The crazy finds her, as her recent overheard conversation will prove.
  • The Prettiest Denny’s Waitress, written by Mickey, who has a way with words which seems to make him one of mine and everyone’s favorites. He also has a way with keeping a post’s comment section in check.
  • Peanutville, written by Matt, a friend of a friend of mine. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks, and his frank writings about his relationships keep me coming back for more.
  • Nancy Pearl Wannabe, written by NPW. She’s a middle school librarian and I worked in the library in middle school, so it was an obvious choice to start reading this blog. NPW is an awesome writer, and she was behind the whole Choose Your Own Blogventure, which was the coolest thing since orange Hostess Cupcakes.

Ok, I’m off to a world of boring career-type people. I’ll try to check in later!

  1. Yay, I did get one! Now I don’t have to kill Mickey for not giving me one of his! (Kidding.)

    But thank you!

  2. Career type people piss me off. Uh, except you, of course.

Thanks for the honor! The love I’m feeling from these internets is just overwhelming!

I feel bad, though, since you and I both got the award from Allie and then you turned around and gave it to me again! It’s like I’m stealing someone else’s who could have gotten it.

Whatever, I’m incredibly honored and touched by your comments. I’ll be checking out your other honorees now.

  3. Congratulations on your award and thank you thank you thank you for awarding it to me! You just made my day!

NPW: You’re welcome and thanks for writing stuff that I enjoy reading 🙂 And thanks for not killing Mickey.

Mickey: Don’t worry. I hate career people too. I’ve spent this whole conference making mental notes of how much I hate the people who do the same thing I do for a living.

Vanessa: Your crazy stories make my dayz.

Kristen: Thanks! I love reading your blog too.
