I meant to post this a while ago, but it got lost in the clutter of The Modern Gal inbox.
Hungry Girl has some useful tips on how to keep from overindulging when you go out to eat. It can be hard since restaurants make it pretty dang difficult to eat healthy. Some of her tips include researching the restaurant’s menu online before you go, starting with a broth-based soup or salad and sticking to items described as grilled, steamed, broiled and baked.
How about a healthy night on the town post.. I drink way too many empty calories!!

You know, this is where being gluten free makes my life easier — about 3/4 of most menus are inedible for me, so I just stick with salads. It was so hard at first, but now it doesn’t bug me anymore.
