That would be the King of Pop.
I like to think that the real Michael Jackson fell off the stage at the 1993 Super Bowl halftime show and passed out of this realm and the MJ we have now is just a droid. If you think of it that way, it’s so easy to focus on the goodness that was MJ of the ’80s.
And so, Modern Friends, I share with you what I’ve been focusing on all morning in lieu of actual work. I nearly jumped up during the “Beat It” video to do the dance, but was worried my officemate might walk in at any moment and I do want to retain what little dignity I have here.

I seriously cannot believe Jacko is 50. I remember Thriller and that was still the best album he’s ever done. When you grow up with that, it’s tough to see what he’s become now. Sad.
To be fair, only parts of him are 50.
WOW…..50…..I still remember trying to learn the Thriller dance with friends and hoping the video would come on MTV…….
