I had a bit of a rough week last week at work and needed a weekend and a bit of a blogcation to clear my brain. I apologize for my absence, but assure you that life is much better now.
My weekend was exactly what I needed. I knocked out some chores which I’d neglected as I worked 10 hours of overtime in the span of three days. And I hiked …
From the top of House Mountain near Knoxville
I passed a couple near the peak of the trail who told me, ‘Oh! There’s a monkey up there.’ I thought they were crazy. Apparently they were not.
Here’s to a better week!
Holy crap, that woman has a monkey! What did Lucydog think of that?
OMG MONKEY?!?! And you did not steal it for me? What the hell kind of friend are you? 🙂
Who in Knoxville has A MONKEY!!? And how can I become friends with them?
Dutchess: Lucydog was too busy trying to catch her breath to notice the monkey. She was, on the other hand, irritated that there were other dogs at the top who did not want to play with her.
Noodles: I’m not sure I could have handled both Lucy and the monkey on the hike down.
CK: Maybe if you hang out at the top of House Mtn? These people also had munchkins, if you like that sort of thing …
What a beautiful photo! Sometimes reconnecting with nature is exactly what we need. Here’s to a better week!
A monkey! What the hell?
