Does anyone remember the SNL commercial spoof of the teeny tiny cell phone back in the pre-smartphone day when the cell phone trend was to go smaller and smaller? I can neither find it online nor remember who was in it, but the phone was so tiny it was impossible to use?
This makes me think of that.
Seriously, how much smaller can the iPods get? I’ve already lost my new Nano twice because it’s thinness makes it prone to slipping into the deep, dark crevices of my car and couch. Also worth noting, the new Shuffle can talk. I can’t decide if that’s awesome or creepy.
Tres creepy that there talking iPod. And I could swallow that – methinks not too practical for dog and child owners!
HA! I think you’re talking about the Jeffreys clothing store sketch when Sean Hayes was the host. Will Ferrell comes out with this ridiculously tiny cell phone at the end. You can watch it here (after the ad, of course): http://www.imeem.com/people/2u8QyMe/video/Asje6je5/snl-sean-hayes-jimmy-fallon-will-ferrell-jeffrys-clothi/
Yeah, I am just not sure about that. Although, back in 1985, my mother bought a new Nissan 300zx that would talk to you, and up until the day we sold it in 2003, people thought it was the coolest thing since the moonwalk.
I’m confused but intrigued by the new iPod shuffle. I would like to see it in person before I get too intrigued by it though. I like the current little design so this is a tough sell.
I know exactly what skits you are talking about, but no I don’t remember who was in them. I have to say that I really like to new nano………think I am gonna have to get one. They aren’t that expensive even….YAY!
I got one. It’s…..very cute. And shiny. I turned off the talking function. That crosses the creepy line for me.
