I’ve mentioned this several times already, but my work schedule reverts back to a normal Monday through Friday, 9:30-5ish routine starting next week. The thing I’m looking forward to the most is getting into a regular sleeping pattern. I swear that alone takes care of so many problems.
When I’m not in a sleeping routine, which has pretty much been the case since August, I have to rely on a number of methods to ensure I get enough sleep: chamomile tea, Tylenol PM, sleep mask, etc. It’s not ideal, but they usually make me feel better.
I love this article from Real Simple suggesting tips on getting a better night’s sleep. What I particularly like about the article is it breaks the tips up into three categories of problems: if noise keeps you awake, if light keeps you awake and if you can’t relax.
Real Simple also suggests some products to help you unwind after a long day and has some tips from readers on what they do to try to sleep better.
I spritz my pillows with lavender. It doesnt seem to be working. Ive resorted to Remeron.
