Sweet surrender

Sweet surrender Posted on January 5, 20083 Comments

In all of my travels, I did not realize Wednesday was Wednesday, nor did it occur to me it was time for a new Project Runaway. Thankfully, I was still up packing for my annual pilgrimage to Colorado at 1 a.m., and was able to catch the rerun of the especially sweet new episode., Eye Candy.

And, I must say I believe this was the best yet. I had no idea what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the things that happened. Observe:

Jillian. When PR4 began, I was apprehensive about whether I should like her. She seemed perfect and prissy. She has the kind of hair I’ve always wanted. She dresses impeccably and has a very distinctive style, as evidenced when Tim Gunn looked at Rami’s dress and proclaimed, “It’s Jillian!” And when people start lamenting in their confessional shots about how screwed they are going to be on the runway, it usually means they’re either dunzo or bound for the bottom three.

I got these Twizzlers because they match my suspenders.

Not Jillian. She busts out this amazing, edible, cute flapper-style dress. Which means no other PR contestant gets to bitch ever again.

And Chris March.

I’m keeping these for myself.

You totally proved me wrong about your return to PR4. That was a hell of a dress you banged out and I agree with Michael Kors in saying you self-edited just at the right moment. A Kudos bar to you, dear sir.

When I tuned in about a fourth of a way through the episode, the first image I got besides Christian being annoying, was a shot of Rami’s dress. I thought it was hideous until I learned exactly what the challenge was, and then I couldn’t get enough of it. The perfect tayloring. The piping. The crazy pattern. A chocolatini to you.

Victorya’s dress sucked. Christian was full of himsel. Etc.

One last thing. Maybe it was because I was severely fatigued at the point that I was watching this episode, but I only just noticed that Kit made a KitKat dress.

Brilliant.
