Ok, now that Sex and the City is behind me, I can start thinking about a different movie, say THE COEN BROTHERS’ NEWEST FLICK! It’s not going to be out until about August or September, but that doesn’t mean I can’t start getting excited for it.
I have a hard time naming my favorite bands of all time, but I have no trouble coming up with my favorite directors. The Brothers Coen have such an amazing library and they had me at Raising Arizona.
Burn After Reading doesn’t appear as dark as No Country for Old Men. It sounds more like a Fargo, perhaps, but maybe without a murder? I’m very excited about the lineup: Clooney’s back as is Frances McDormand. Also involved are John Malkovich and … wait for it … wait for it … Brad Pitt. I know we get all distracted by Brad Pitt and his baby mama and their caboodle, so it’s easy to forget the man can act.
The plot, as described by IMDB is this: “A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it.”
Here’s the trailer:
Oooh! That looks good!
I have replayed the part where he calls John Malkovich and says “I thought you might be worried about the security of your shit.” at least 10 times now. My coworkers are confused why I am laughing so hard.
Jay: That was the exact part that reminded me that Brad Pitt can be a good actor.
I don’t particularly like the Coen Brothers. I yawned through Raising Arizona and Intolerable Cruelty. But I did like No Country for Old Men.
Freakin’ awesome. I love the Coens.
What a cast, too.
