I’m not trying to pressure anyone into joining Weight Watchers, because being pressured into it won’t help you lose weight. BUT, if you were ever thinking about joining, now is a great time.

From now until Oct. 18, for every pound of weight lost Weight Watchers is donating the equivalent of a pound of food to someone who needs it, up to $1 million worth, as part of the Lose for Good campaign. According to the site, if I lose the seven pounds that I’d like to in that time span, Share our Strength could feed a child for a month.

You can sign up for Weight Watchers by clicking on the Lose for Good link. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to e-mail me at themoderngal(at)gmail(dot)com!

  1. Have you found that actually being a member makes a difference? Do they only match pounds lost if you join and go to the meetings or join online as well?
