Breathe in, breathe out

Breathe in, breathe out Posted on December 7, 20086 Comments

I’m already starting to get stressed at the thought of how much I have left to do before I head off for Christmas vacation in two weeks: put up the outdoor decorations, get and decorate a tree, finish Christmas cards and party, party, party!

Stress is not uncommon this time of the year. Health magazine suggests some slow-breathing tips to help you slow down a bit.

  1. I just have to stop thinking about all of the things I have to do or else I stress. There are way too many things that I have to do on top of the daily routine.

  2. You can do it! I recommend a bubble bath while drinking a glass of wine. (Btw, I first typed a bubble glass.)

    Merry merry!

  3. It is entirely too easy to be overwhelmed by stress this time of year. Ironic since this is supposed to be such a relaxed, happy time of year. Or perhaps that’s the pressure we put on ourselves.

  4. Hmm I definitely need to read this. I internalize a lot of my stress so I have panic attacks when it’s really bad.

  5. I think I’m kinda using denial to avoid the seasonal stress and the to-do list. I’ve been reading even more than normal lately. Anything to help me temporarily forget the real world.
