Mother’s Day is almost here. Have you been a good modern daughter and son and made plans? Sadly I won’t get to spend Sunday with the Modern Mom, but I hope spending all of last week with her helps make up for that.

Real Simple had an interesting article about mother-daughter relationships in its e-mail newsletter the other day, explaining the different ways mothers and daughters relate to one another and the good and bad that come with those relationships. I’d say my relationship with my own mother sorta falls in between some of their categories.
